What’s one way we stand out as builders in the Treasure Valley? We don’t cheap out on lumber. All of our high end homes are made up of full LSL Timberstrand studs. Yes, this costs us more for something that will be invisible to the buyers eye. However, we believe strongly in good bones. LSL’s allow our walls to be as straight as possible with no bowing or twisting. They are all perfectly straight and stronger than traditional Douglas fir studs, making them ideal for tall walls. We consistently receive great feedback from our subs who find they don’t need to scribe, float, or shim our walls as they’re used to in other homes. Cheesy post alert! Sometimes little things can make a big impact on your life. I listed to this intro from this random Dom Kennedy song probably 8 years ago during a time I was still a little uncertain what I wanted to do in life and it really helped me narrow my focus. I still play this audio frequently as a reminder to always have a direction in mind. Without that initial decision or goal, it makes it really hard to get to where you want to be! My initial goal was to be 30 with 5 years of superintendent experience so that I’d be qualified to work for bigger construction companies. But here we are on our second year of owning our own company with over $5m in home sales. So grateful everyday for how far we’ve come!
